So, my saga continues.
Getting grips for the IZH-46M and then will clean it and break it in.

Decided to buy the Steyr LP-10 Long! Certainly no excuses about equipment now!!

I need everyone's advice... Mechanical or electronic trigger? Is the mechanical good, old school?
Is the electronic trigger adjustable?
Is there a first and second stage?
I heard from a west coast shooter that the batteries are impossible to find. True?

Be brutally honest!!

I will purchase it in the next few days, they have my size in stock, X-Large, rt. hand... will prob. need some dremmel work.

I've had LP10 mechanical and now have LP10E

Both have excellent, fully adjustable two stage triggers. Either will serve you very well. The grip ion the mechanical version is easier to modify as you don't have to factor in the battery compartment and the mounting screw is in a better place.

Batteries for the electronic version are standard AAA which are available almost everywhere.

Why do you want to be argumentative? Scott Pilk says you should have the short one...that's what you should have.

Or, better yet, find a used upscale SSP and forget about batteries, fittings, air pressure, tank inspections, and such.

Too late, I ordered the LP-10 long with electronic trigger.
My feeling, latest technology, and a gun that has adjustable sight length.
Spoke at length with buck and he actually likes the mechanical trigger, by a bit, but he said either way, can't go wrong. At least I'll know the limiting factor will always be me.

Time for practice and expert coaching, any advice for coaches?

Long Island, New York, but i would travel for a week of coaching, hard to break bad habits.

Where do you shoot on the Island?

Usually at Nassau County rifle/pistol range.

Recently moved to Suffolk County, looking for a good place with good people.

Tom, by the look of things, it seems like a combination of impulse buying, buyer's remorse, and getting bitten by the pcp bug...

I have a Steyr LP10 mechanical trigger and I'm very pleased with the action. I'd favor the mechanical since its easier to work on them than an electronic trigger when something goes wrong.

I'm sure he will use the IZH as an agricultural implement, busting dirt clods in the famed Long Island Potato fields.

Whichever LP10 trigger he chose, be assured he will wish for the other one. You can see he's gullible enough to have guzzled the PCP Kool-Ade.
