new or used. I only have about $750.00 to play with, and that will also have to include a pump. It would seem the only PCP pistol that fits in my budget is the Twinmaster, and I rather steer clear of those. Are there any other pistols out there that I'm missing that would fit into my price range?

With that budget I suggest you look at used pistols. There is nothing wrong with used pistols. Most AP shooters take VERY good care of their pistols. Both my 10m APs are used, and both purchased from our host Pilkingtons; Pardini K58 and Walther CPM1.
If you don't have temp extreems to deal with, consider co2. You can get a good used co2 pistol and a 10 pound bulk tank for probably about $500.

There are great used deals out there. I got a Steyr LP1 CO2 set up with small tank for under your budget. Exquisite equipment, not top dollar. May never need to "upgrade". Well, actually, I hope I get good enough to warrant the additional expense. Watch the ads, talk to Pilkington etc. You can have a smidgen below the best for about half the cost. IMHO. Craig

I agree completely with the opinions below. I started with a TAU-7, then moved to an LP1 Co2 gun (well, I've actually had two of them and only recently sold one to keep my inventory down), then to an LP10, and now a Morini 162. Although the LP10 and Morini 162 are fine pistols, I still can outshoot them with my LP1. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Co2 guns. Contrary to popular belief, compressed air does not buy any points on your score. My LP1 shoots MUCH better groups from a vise than the LP10. And yes, that statement is made after trying at least 10 different kinds of match-grade pellets (the LP10 seems to like H&N rifle pellets!). In your budget range you're either going to get the lowest of the low end in PCP guns, or the very highest of the high end in a used Co2 pistol. If it were me in the same situation, I'd be looking for a good used LP1!
