Non-verbal coaching

Post by B.p.M »

ISSF Official Statutes Rules & Regulations (6.12.5.1) states:

6.12.5.1
In all events, non-verbal coaching is allowed, the written word is non-verbal. In
50m Three-Position Finals, verbal coaching is allowed only during changeover
times. While on the firing line, an athlete may speak only with Jury Members or
range officials. Coaching during training is permitted, but such coaching must
not disturb other athletes.

This does not seem to be in the USA Shooting Rules. Can someone clarify this rule with regards to USA Shooting rules and JORC in particular?

I don't think USA Shooting maintains its own rules anymore. They only apply the issf rules.

Ahhh, that's why. Really appreciate your clarification.

Probably why the USA Shooting Rules have a 2013 edition date.

Sorry, can't answer; you'll have to speak with a Jury Member or range official.

Here's the link to CMP's rulebooks:

https://thecmp.org/competitions/cmp-com ... rulebooks/

Air rifle and air pistol
Action pistol
Smallbore rifle
Pistol
Highpower rifle

Up to date to 2024, ith rule changes, script of verbal commands, et cetera . . . .

Hope this helps.
