LP50 Shoots Fine, But Doesn't Cock When Dry Firing?

Post by Gwhite »

I dusted off my LP50 to practice sustained fire. I haven't fired it in quite some time (over a year?). It works fine with pellets, but I tried the dry fire adapter, and I get one "shot", and that's it. I have to re-cock it manually after each shot, and when I do, the adapter advances 2 shots worth.

I don't know if the lubrication is getting sticky with age, or if something else is going on. I put on a full cylinder, and that didn't help. I'm not sure how the cocking process with dry fire adapter works. If it relies on back-pressure, maybe it's leaking too much?

Any ideas or suggestions? For now I will just shoot pellets, and see if that loosens it up a bit.

Thanks!
