For Sale Hi Standard Victor, VERY accurate, Steel rib

High Standard Victor (Hamden), used for design studies and teaching mostly. 1970's.

Very accurate, even for a High Standard Victor. Best of about 10 Victors in the original group for accuracy. The steel rib is relatively uncommon, found only in the earlier ones of this series, but it also seems to have improved the accuracy, based on the comparison to the other Victors.

The gun is one that was marketed and sold by High Standard (itself) in Germany around 1972, and therefore has German proof marks, and a more recent import mark at the base of the grip. SN dates to 1972 production. Extremely accurate. Not as accurate as the 208, SAKO TriAce or AW93, but the difference is very very small. This particular gun was more accurate than >90% of S&W 41 (including the original 41 and the Bangor Punta second generation) and S&W46 tested. Feed and function have been flawless in latest use. The other <10% equaled it, but were not better. Required pull force for the slide on first chambering is slightly less than on most of the Victors.

The gold plating on the trigger is completely intact. Its barrel marking, "THE VICTOR", is gold plated, but is partially faded.
