Post by illusion23 »

hi guys, just want to ask everybody here how you aim for 25m precision target and 25m Rapid Pistol Target, i am aiming at bull eye these days, but wondering if i change to sub-six hold or 6 o'clock hold, how you aim for 25m rapid fire target? thank you very much if anyone can give some input.

Sub-six for precision target, then adjust the backsight and aim just below the whiskers for rapid fire target.

This is certainly the most widely recommended approach. With my aging eyes, I've actually had better success on Rapid using a 6:00 hold so I can still see my sights against a non-black background. The other advantage is I don't have to move my sights as far. When I first learned to shoot (back when ice covered much of the planet...) all they taught was 6:00 hold, so it's pretty natural for me.
