22 Short - Lead vs Copper

I wanted to pick up some 22 short for my old RF guns. I see lead is less available than copper bullets. Any hazards in using the copper? Obviously not shooting them for competition or anything just for fun. I'm not as familiar with the ins and outs of 22 short and didn't want an issue.

Thanks!

I think you'll find that “copper” .22 bullets are not actually copper but just lead projectiles with a copper wash or light plating. They sometimes have a hollow point and usually signify a higher velocity round. These points are true for .22LR rounds and I suspect the same holds for the shorts. I don’t think you’ll have any issues with using the “copper” rounds.

It doesn't matter, they are all the same.
