Any suggestions, things that have worked for you regard fund raising?
We’re looking for ideas to raise money for our 4H shooting program.
Thank you!

Gun raffles are usually productive.

I've noticed the Car Wash is most productive with girls in wet T-shirts.

If you haven't done so already you should set up a Midway Foundation account.

I’m a little torn on the midway account.
I kind of like the idea, but when I was trying to read about the accounts, I couldn’t find whether we could pull the contributed money out if the club closed the account.
Do you happen to have information on that?

You cannot pull the contributed money in bulk, only 5% annually. Its still a good deal though, its like buying fundraising items from yourself. Add in the match money and long term its hard to beat.

Midway Foundation offers crazy good opportunity.
1. They match donations to your account 1:1.
2. They cover 100% of the cost of the fundraising items.
3. They will provide the raffle tickets.
4. They have a wide variety of products you can select for fundraising.
5. Midway is a 501(c)3 so donations to your team are deductible even if your team is not a 501(c)3. This may matter to your donors.
6. You may have parents that have a donor-matching program thru their employer that can go to your team.

If you do close the team/account later, you get to select the beneficiary, which team with a Midway Foundation account that will receive the funds in your account.

Midway limits the amount you can withdraw each year. But if you have access to a large starting amount it's a great idea.

It's my understanding that many credit card companies will have "something" in place where you can donate your points (earned with your purchases) to an organization. Might be worthwhile looking into...
