Dry Firing Crosman Challenger, T200

Post by kbean »

Can these two rifles be dry fired without damaging the rifle?
We tried dry firing a T200, it seems fine firing with the bolt open. Haven’t tried one of the Crosmans yet (old style).

Anyone with experience in this?

My team dry fires both all the time on a SCATT system. Not saying it won't do damage, but so far after 2+ years I haven't noticed anything.

Dry firing the T200 should generally be safe, especially when the bolt is open. However, it's best to avoid dry firing the old-style Crosman rifles, as it could potentially cause damage. It's always recommended to consult the specific rifle's manual for guidance.
