I have seen several threads on this and other forums about cracked barrel shrouds on Hammerli 280's. I have a Powerpoint on how I made a new one from aluminum that I will gladly send to anyone that asks. I am not soliciting for work, but I will gladly answer any questions for someone trying to repair their pistol.

Folks, I know Derrick in person and vouch for him, he's a very talented machinist and smith, and I saw that shroud he made for one of our club members, it looks awesome and much much better than the factory plastic fantastic. One added benefit is that the barrel now can be removed if needed, and also it makes the gun a bit heavier which is a good thing :)
