Despite the holiday time frame, I am extremely grateful to Mako, the Ragay family, and others who have indicated that they will find time to help nurture Samoa's David Mariner in AP (& possibly FP)during the next week and a half. David's wife Lisa is very shy, but is also interested in learning AP. I hope a lady shooter can find a few minutes to introduce her to our sport. Also if possible, please introduce David to S. Cal. national shooter and UCLA coach, Cliff Halenar. Cliff's coaching was the first meaningful pistol influence in Samoa. It came indirectly, but was a major influence on the early AP/FP days. Cliff was selected to be Samoa's first Olympic Solidarity Coach, but things happened on the international front that prevented it and changed Samoa's IOC member leadership.
