Drawing of shoting stands

Post by Grzegorz »

Hi, I need your advice... Recently it became quite frequent that shooters from the club which organize national cups and championships "by chance ;-)" draw stands that are more favorable than others (for example for 50m prone, when there is a strong wind - just close to the protection wall, etc.). Evidently, the procedure of drawing is not sufficiently controled or the procedure itself is not correct... There could be created many procedures of course, but I just would like to find the best that is already in use...
What are your PROCEDURES to avoid such situation? Any advice welcome, the best we are going to introduce on national level :-)
Best rgds,
Grzegorz

Give the 'conflicting' requirements of the draw (random, but ensuring proper distribution of team members, etc.) a truly random draw is not really practical.
To overcome any problems, the draw method is to be approved by the Technical Delegate, and
the draw is supervised by the Jury.
