Workout question

Post by Arnold S. »

After working out in the morning on Nautilus type equipment and treadmills, what kinds of time is necessary to "cool" back down and be able to shoot without adverse effect on hold?

This is probably an individual matter. I modified my routine to lift weights after shooting, not before. I'm just too shaky after weight lifting. The answer for me is about four hours. Longer if I've lifted longer and heavier.

And one more health question...

I just found out I am diabetic...
Blood sugar level 132...
Go to the Dr. next week.
What will THIS do to my shooting?

Well, here are some ideas for you to think about: to get the most out of your workout and your shooting training, it is probably smartest to workout in the morning and train in the evening or afternoon (or vice-versa). If you choose to workout in the morning, make sure you stretch very well after your workout and also rehydrate sufficiently. Good stretching and good hydration will help reduce muscle soreness after a workout, and that will get rid of any negative effects on your shooting. Further, make sure you eat enough. That helps in a couple ways such as concentration and endurance.
Good luck and good shooting!
