Question about my chair for paralumpic shooting?

Post by Leadbelly »

Since my electric chair will not fit through the door at our air gun range.
I use my Invacare 66550 Bariatric Rollator ( picture on amazone https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007A ... UTF8&psc=1 )
To keep these chairs stable, the 4 wheels are spread very wide.
At first I was told to put the chair where ever I needed to to be able to shoot. Now people are
complaining that my wheels are in front of the red line. If my wheels are behind the red line I can't
reach the target carrier and my barrel maybe behind the firing line.
One person thought " That as long as my butt was behind the red line it was OK ."
I can't find the rule on " IPC Shooting web sight". Any one know what I should do?

Clear in rule 2.3.3 that you and your chair must be behind the red line. The next rule allows an offhand stand (that you do not touch while taking a shot) to touch the floor ahead of the firing line.
This as always been applied as anything touching the floor during the shot must be behind the line. Some wheelchairs are set up so your feet (on rests, not the floor) hang over the line (similar to a prone or pistol shooter with a hand ahead of and above the line).
Sounds like some creative problem solving is in order.
