Lazer Trainer two....

Post by Cousin Jack »

First, I'm not an Olympic rifle shooter, I'm an NRA rifle silhouette shooter, and I train indoors with a scoped RWS Model 75 on an airgun, pull-sting-reset, biathlon target.... which duplicates silhouette shooting pretty darn well! But, my venerable airgun is 34 years old, and I worry about it going south.... I've looked at the biathlon lazer trainers, which would work well for me and would eliminate the pellet mess, but it's pricey! I have several target and silhouette rifles... is there a device that would fit on one that I could use against the biathlon electronic target? I'm not interested in the tracking and whatever, I just need a reactive target. I know it's a long shot, but I would appreciate any feedback (I'll repost this on the Olympic rifle section, too.).

How about something like this? It looks similar to SCATT. It says that it can be used for dry fire exercises.

Use this piece to mount it to the end of your barrel.
