Your thoughts on lead free pellets please.

I've noticed most are very light and I've seen some non-specific references to them as not recommended for rifled barrels in air pistols.

The earlier lead-free pellets had a pretty poor reputation for accuracy. The H&N Green Match pellets seem to have addressed that, but they are very pricey:

I have no personal experience with them, but they are clearly selling them for target shooters, so the barrel wear issue must have been addressed (to some extent...). They are a good bit lighter than a typical lead pellet, so they are going to shoot faster.

Gamo also has some "match" green pellets, but they are even lighter, and considerably more expensive:

My opinion is that unless you have allowed some greenie meathead to slither into control of your range, there is NO reason to consider the expensive no-lead pellets.

IF there is any lead contamination, it seems to be coming from the use of lead styphnate primers.

The least expensive of the wadcutter pellets are the Daisy precision max lead free pellets:

See if your pistol likes them. Shooting lead free pellets from high velocity air rifles will put more wear and tear in the barrel than air pistols/rifles with lower velocities.
