Is the barrel clamped to the action like the kk300?

No, I believe it's bonded into the action. I'm fairly sure the KK300 has a bonded barrel too. You may be thinking of the KK200, where the receiver was split diagonally up from the front left to clamp the barrel.

My kk300 is glued into the action - no clamp.
