Somebody know the contact info for the guys that make the "NEW" high standard .22s? they had them at perry this year (2016) i thought i was interarms... but google brings up nothing.

I don't think it's highstandard.com I think it was an off brand company either copying a HS or making upgrades to them. They had several options and barrel types. That company also machines their own hammerli 208 slides.

So... I called high standard and they said, that the guys at Perry were not authorized to be there using the interarms name. They told me the guy selling these got fired form high standard over a year ago.

Depending on the specific issue you're having (i.e. did they pretend to be someone they were not allowed to be), you may wish to talk to an attorney in your state about the issue. It sounds like you may have some characters there.

I remember, many years ago, on the old Bullseye-L list reading about many people having trouble receiving their 10X guns from Houston High Standard and being given a big run around. I was in the market for a new .22 pistol and was considering the 10X. After all posts from the upset Houston Hi Standard customers, I decided to buy a Hammerli 208s instead. It didn't sound like there was much "character" there then at Houston Hi Standard, and I wouldn't put much stock in what the officers of Houston Hi Standard say, if they are the same people. I used to be a High Standard fan and owned a couple of their pistols, but have steered clear of them for decades.

Love the idea of a "ramped" barrel for older HS pistols if it mitigates the fussy magazine lip issue.

I've seen a couple of variations on homemade ramped barrels for HS. One involved adding a bit of weld in the right place, another was a bit of a screw into a hole drilled in the breechface. Both involved a lot of hand shaping for a minimal ramp. Obviously, some care needed to be taken in placing the weld/tapped hole.

With a little magazine tuning, my old Hartford model feeds as well as either of them did. One misfeed in the last three 2700.

Thanks, nglitz. I suppose no manufacturer/smith sees the profit in making a HS barrel with an integral ramp.
My HS guns have at times, worked flawlessly also. But then, during a match, fail causing refires. Magazine tuning is not something a shooter wants or needs. IMHO, a ramped barrel would bring a lot of old HS pistols out of the gun safe, and on the line where these fine guns belong.
