Oh, the humanity...

I ended up shooting next to John Zurek at the Arizona State Championship last weekend.

I thought I was doing just fine until we hit the Timed Fire, where he shot a 200-19X with a .22 in between showing me pix of his latest elk kill at the same place we had shot two a couple of years ago.

I guess big boys don't cry.

Greetings Rover,

I suspect after your shooting a 200x18, second place is not so heart warming.

Cheers,

Dave

John was very disappointed that he only tied the current range record (which he holds).

I did make some snide remarks about his masculinity.

Don't kick yourself. I saw your score cards. One was a master score or better. Very good shooting. Better than me, 836 for my 22. Did well with the 45. Final score 2487

Wow!! Can't wait for my move to Prescott to take place. Looking forward to driving down the hill to observe how the big boys play. I'm certain I'll learn some good stuff.

Well, we did have some "Big Boys".....Steve Reiter (5X Nat. Champ), Legendary Zurek, US Team World Traveler Brenda Silva and her damned competent hubby, Tony The Crazed Portagee, and other not too shabby folks like Siordian the Starving Armenian.

C'mon down....you'll have fun.

After which I'm certain Brenda showed you how to shoot like a girl.

I'd love to be able to shoot like THAT girl!

BTW Tony (her husband) received a major award at the match.

He was presented with a Portuguese seven course dinner; sausages and a six-pac.
