I have a custom longslide(6") 38 special 1911, that's just not shooting anymore. I need a few names of bullseye gunsmiths who can: a. find out whats wrong with it. b. make me a new .38 spec. barrel and fit it or c. make a match grade 9mm barrel and fit it. I need a smith that guarantees bullseye accuracy and not some tactical guy whose pistols shoot 3"@ 25yards, maybe

I know Clark still catalogs whole pistols, but this is not a Clark. It was built by unfortunately, a long passed master gunsmith. Its seems that the guys in the know are making 9mm wad guns (lighter kicking) these days. So whats the most cost effective??? That's what I would like to find out.

thx
vito

K.C. Crawford can work magic with any 1911 target gun. I think he uses the force................

Another good one is Jon Eulette. He did a superb trigger on one of my 1911 .38 Specials.
