Powder, accuracy, and help

Hi Guys, not sure if this is the correct place for this... I have lots of loading questions the last week! I am looking for powder thoughts on the following:

45acp,38super, and 9mm

i want the most accurate, best shooting, cleanest power out there! I have typically used Winchester 231, Bullseye, Titegroup, Universal, Unique, and CFE Pistol. I have a bunch of 231, Unique, and CFE left, but recently shot some Winchester Super Target and was pretty amazed by it in my 45.

i have read VV is too notch stuff, but have little experience with it in pistol.

i know there are some a few newer powders out there, just looking for thoughts and help on powders for shooting 50 yard hardball/accuracy style shooting.

All thoughts and help appreciated!

VV is probably the best overall. I recommend 310 for 45. And 340 for 9 mm. Don't know about 38 Super.. I use 340 and 350 in my 9mm.
I also like Titegroup and WST a lot for 45. Clays is also quite good. But those three powders have been difficult to find lately.

I have been using Bullseye. Quite dirty in my short line loads but excellent functioning and consistency.

Isabell didn't mention that she's at PRGC for our (yesterday) 2700 and the Desert Midwinter.

This is a golden opportunity to get off your ass and pick the brains of some of the best around.

+1 on Jim's list. I haven't seen any VV330 for almost 3 years, I use WSF with great results in my 9MM & WST in my 45.

Me either. Which is why I use VVN340. Same accuracy, slightly less kick.

been using Bullseye for the .45 for more years than I care to tell. Accuracy and functionability is very high. Frankly, it doesn't get that dirty. Bullseye load is 4.1 with a hardcast 200g and 4.6 for 185g 50yd load.
For the .38 super I've been using 5.2g of W231 with a 115g Montana Gold JHP. approx. just under 1200fps. My pistol is comped and the accuracy is great.
In the prone position I've put 5 shots into a bullseye X ring. Good enough for NRA Action pistol as well as an occasional speed steel match.

Isabel, I have some VVN340, if you don't mind sharing what is your load?

I've used Alliant e3 in .45 ACP target loads. It is very clean burning. American Select is pretty clean burning. I've used it in .45 ACP and 9mm.

4.6gr BE under Nosler 185gr JHP long and short line(the recoil is controlled by the 6" barrel for the short line, you would be amazed what one inch can do...:)

4.8gr VV-N340 under 115gr Sierra FMJ.
Going to work on some 115gr XTP's next.
