What length seems to work best with Nosler 185? I have began to have failure to feed. I don't know if my length became altered because for many years i had no problems. I loaded some ball for 1911 and must have not got my length correct...and i can't find my records. It catches along the top of the bullet.

1.20 should work.

Could be your crimp. Check that first. If your total OAL is the same or shorter than factory rounds, then I doubt if OAL is your issue.
Clean and oil the gun, and if that doesn't work, then have a gun smith check the extractor. If it isn't tuned correctly, that can cause feeding problems.

GT 45 6" - Zero 185 1.205 OAL JHP w/4.7 Solo 1000 for 50 yds.

GT-45S 6" with compensator - Zero 185 1.21 OAL JHP with 4.7 Solo 1000 or 5.0 Win 231 for 50 yards.

GT-45 6" with compensator - Zero 185 1.25 OAL LHPSWC and either 3.6 Clays or 3.6 BE for 25 yds. Seems to fix the feeding issue commonly experienced with the GT and SWC bullets.

Medium recoil spring in both guns.

Rail-mounted scopes (Aimpoint Micro)

Even tho 45 ACP, the compensator seems to reduce felt recoil.
