Daisy 499: hold sensitive?

Hi,
Because the Daisy 499 contains a spring/plunger mechanism, do the experienced users here recommend a "artillery hold" to compensate for recoil, like Tom Gaylord has discussed for springer air rifles, or do you feel that a firm hold is more appropriate? The Daisy literature doesn't mention this issue either way, as far as I could notice.

Thanks,
Lloyd

A handicaped shooter in our area shoots her 499B using a tripod. Her handicap allows her to touch the gun only with her shoulder, the trigger is pulled with a mechanism that extends thre trigger back along the stock. She has very minimal 'hold' of the gun. Over the season she averaged about 380 and easily won every event and the state championship.
(Good for her!) So, it would seem that he 499 can be shot very well with a minimal hold. I'm sure her gun has been weighted to the full 5.99 pound limit, which helps counter the spring issue.
