Hi Gary; Are you wanting to scope the M-41 you're giving your daughter? Is she a Junior? If so the M-41 with a scope is a very heavy pistol. A scoped short barrel M-41 is heavier than a scoped 1911. If she is a Junior then it's best to use iron sights and shoot the 5.5" heavy barrel as it's legal for International.

I use an older 1" Millet on a 7" barrel for conventional in the summer and a 5.5" with open sights for standard in the fall/winter.
