Bummer7, Can't thank you enough for the pics. They show everything fine. I'm going to go to work with files and the dremmel tool and see what happens. I'll update the thread when I've got something to report... at this pace it'll be 2012...!

6String, if you're still around, do you have any tips on forming the feed lips? Do your re-worked 38 Super mags resemble these? Thanks.

John,

I forgot to mention the .38 super magazine follower has been modified to fit the opening. As you can see, the follower has been trimmed to fit the opening. However, it no longer engages the stop to hold open the slide after the last shot. Modifying the follower will only result in it working a few times before failing again.

Given the amount of work needed to modify a Colt .38 Super magazine; wouldn't it be easier to purchase new Triple K magazines from Champion's Choice? IIRC, they were listed in their 2009 catalog for $41 each. Not a bad price for a specialty item.
