FWB 300S sight inserts

Post by Brayhaven »

Is there a good source for front sight inserts in the US and what size does this rifle take? Is there any advantage to the clear plexiglass ones? I've alwsys just used the metal inserts??
Thanks,
Greg

You will need 16 mm plastic elements to fit the FWB 300-S fore sight.

Thanks, they looked a little smaller than my Anschutz inserts.

Forgot to mention, I prefer the perspex inserts as they give you a good sight picture with no metal bars in the way.

You can get them in clear or in various colours, but the most popular over here are the ones with a slight 'rose' tint. available mail order from Bedford Target Supplies. Just google them. They are also pretty cheap and come in 0.1 mm increments. So get several sizes each side of your favourite size. If you place the rose tint inserts on a sheet of white paper you will see the tint its that subtle.

FWB were always 16mm until they converted to 22mm on the P-70.
Anshutz are 18mm as is Walther.
