Sitting Position and Shooting Pants

Post by Hip's Ax »

Greetings, the annual NRA 4P is coming up at my local club and of course this is the only time during the year I shoot the sitting position. Since I just this year got proper shooting pants I have a question. Do you use the pants for sitting? If so, top open and legs unzipped just like kneeling?

You've got the right idea. If you are very slim you might try the top closed, but often that pushes up against the diaphram causing bigger pulse sensation.

Thanks Pat, I'll give it a shot. LOL, last time I was "very slim" Carter was in the White House!

They are unnecessary.

Thanks for the input. Since this is an indoor shoot it moves kind of quickly so I get all dressed early so I'm wearing the pants in prone too. Just a time saver so my old fat butt doesn't hold up the program.

I'm going to go shooting early tomorrow so I'll know soon how it works for me.
