2025 CA Air rifle

Post by peepsight »

The 2025 was primarily a field target rifle with a laminate stock.

I guess it was discontinued because of newer models that Anschutz brought out. I don't think it was discontinued because it was no good, they have just moved on with newer models as all manufacturers do.

Obviously, with newer models there will be new designs and modifications over older models.

Oddly enough, so far there has been no successor model to the 2025 (none at least in the AHG Anschütz catalog), so much so that people have taken to modifying the 8002 and the 9003. I guess that Anschütz has either found the FT market to be either too "hot" (stiff competition) or too "cold" (not enough sales).

At the risk of extending this O/T a little too much, is it possible to upgrade a 2002 to 2025 power? What parts would be needed?

Cheers NB

Allen Zasadny has modified (12 to 20fpe) many 10M rifles for use in field target (http://www.aafta.org). I have a Steyr LG100 from him. Allen is best reached by phone -- (319) 472-3845.
