Help me I am dense - what is the difference?

Post by jlochey »

Hello,

I'm sorry, but I really tried to search, etc. and even went to the CMP and NRA websites.

Am I correct in saying the following?

"Sporter shooting" is for youths. Adults don't participate.

"10m Precision" is for youths and adults.

Thank you, and I know this information is out there, I probably need to hone my "internet search" skills.

I'll preface my answer by saying "never say never"

But generally speaking, you are making a correct assuumption .... at the current time.

The first two sentences of the 3PARC rules:
1.1 INTRODUCTION
Three-Position Air Rifle shooting is the most popular form of shooting sports competition for youth of high school age or younger. Other age groups also practice Three-Position Air Rifle.
So there is no real prohibition. I think the idea was to get an "inexpensive" air rifle program going for youth and that the older "open" shooters would gravitate to the international style events

I'm pretty sure that there are no open records as such that are recorded as they only (currently) support them for "youth" programs
