Air Arms MPR

Post by Nick_Burman »

Hi all, I've visited the Air Arms page several times and have seen the MPR (Multi-Purpose Rifle) in both the Sporter and Precision versions, however trawling through the 'net I've seen scant mention about them... could anyone point me to reviews or could comment about it here, I'm very curious about it...

Cheers NB

S400 MPR

Post by BigAl »

The MPR is pretty much a S400 in a half decent target stock it is available in the UK in two power settings 12fpe and about 6fpe, the higher powered version is quite popular in Hunter field target shooting used with a scope. The lower powered version comes with a diopter sight but has yet to make a big impression in 10m shooting. Here it is about half the price of a FWB or Anschutz 10m match gun, I have a standard S400 at 12fpe and the accuracy is really good and I think the 6fpe version should do the job at club level or just above.

Just to add a few more bits on the MPR Precision [10m target]

It has a longer muzzle weight sight carrier to give it the right sight base.
The dove tails are basically Anshutz.
Extra weights are available plus a multi adjustable alu but plate.
The trigger and trigger blade are multi adjustable
It can be in either left or right hand or ambidextrous.

It won a major competition [10m] in South Africa some time back.
