Blinders / Eye shade

Post by 2many7s »

I use an eye shade in my rifle (CC871 I think) and it works great with a none adjustable rear iris but it just does net fit well with my adjustable. There is not enough room to get in there and tighten the locknuts. I have tried the ones that mount over the rear of the iris but if you chbage the eye shade location it changes the iris setting. I know alor of shooters put the blinder oc their glasses but this makes it hard to use a spotting scope (I know wah wah wah........) anyway, is there a better solution or piece of equipment I have not tried??

Thanks

I found that a magnet will work. I picked up a small magnetic catch (for a kitchen cupboard) for a pound or so from an ironmonger. The blinder (cutout from a plastic milk jug) was taped onto the catch.

I did use a piece of milkjug slipped under a headband for many years. I had no problems with using the scope.
