Anyone have any dormant, unloved 499s I could buy to start..

Post by durant7 »

I started one club in Dallas/Plano. Had to move and now I am looking to do the same again...man it's work from ground zero.

Anyway, to demonstrate the fun and safe way to teach gun safety and marksman ship before getting a BS Venture group or similar started....we have zip going in the area....I thought I would get 4 499s and bring the current BS group and interested parents to a range day in my large barn. I'm NRA/4H rifle instructor certified so don't think I am a crazed luney!

Having stumbled on defunct youth programs in the past to start up the first group, I thought I would politely solicit the group here to see if I can network any "surplus" 499s.

Figure the worst I will hear back is nothing. I figure I need at least 3 different stock lengths. I have one cut short, will buy others and cut accordingly. Man I hate to cut a brand new stock!!

Thanks in advance.
