Adjustable Front aperture

Post by Guest »

How do I get the cross hair, in my adjustable front aperture, parallel with the rear sight? I try to line it up by eye, but when I get in position it looks canted. I can't tell if it is the rifle or the front sight that is canted.

Get someone to look at you in position. They should be able to tell you if you hold with a cant.

personally, i love having it canted and i like the cross hairs a lot more than just the standard straight bar across. i find that it's easier to center for me. maybe if you put it in a rest and looked through your sights and adjusted it like that you can get it straight. however, if you're canting your gun in position and you want your bars to be straight, you have to be careful and realize that for each position will probably have a different cant angle. if you have one of those front sights that spins to adjust the aperture for cant, then i would use that and just write down the numbers for each position.
