I bought a Winchester .177 air rifle for my son this christmas. Are there ranges specifically suited for air rifle shooters in the Los Angeles area? I would like to avoid center fire/large bore ranges.

There are two dedicated air rifle ranges that I am aware of in the L.A. area. They are both excellent 10m ranges but have some drawbacks.
The Phoenix Club in Anaheim has a wonderful indoor range. They will allow you to shoot there as a guest several times after which, they will require that you become a member.
I am reasonably certain that the Olympic air rifle range is in operation at Prado. I haven't shoot there for a while. The main drawback is the cost -$12.
