PERCENTAGES FOR EXPERT/MASTER NRA RATING

Post by twinarrow99 »

Hello,

Am new to this forum, and wondering if anyone can furnish the current NRA percentage standards for Smallbore Prone. What is the percentage for Expert and Master? And, how many shots are required to move up in classification? I recall seeing something like 99.5 Percent or better to make Master, and minimum of 700 rounds at that percentage. Can anyone assist here? Thanks in advance!

NRA Conventional Outdoor Prone

Marksman: below 96.50%
Sharpshooter: 96.50 to 98.49%
Expert: 98.50 to 99.49%
Master: 99.50% and above

200 record shots required for initial classification.

400 record shots required to reclassify to Sharpshooter and Expert.

700 record shots required to reclassify to Master.

Shoot higher scores.

Sorry just kidding, couldn't help myself, congratulations on making expert. I can see why you would be puzzled I looked for about a 1/2 hour on the USAS Website and couldn't find it.

Purchase a Smallbore rulebook from the NRA and all will be revealed.

Wouldn't it be nice if the NRA took the money that they waste sending me 500 early renewal cards, stupid flash lights, and pocket knives and gave out free rule books? If only to the people that have competitive classifications on file and only to their discipline...

Just a thought, if the NRA is listening
