Mounting Red Dot

Post by TSR »

Hi all,

Thanks for all the great posts, lots of good info.
I've searched but can't find any info on how to mount a red dot such as the Ultradot on my new Pardini SP 22. Is there mounting hardware that bolts on so to speak, or does a gunsmith have to drill holes for mounting hardware?

Can anyone help me out please?

Thanks

You'll need modified rings to fit the little grooves along the top of the receiver. Standard rings aren't "pointy" enough to dig into those grooves tightly enough to stay put. Don Nygord used to start with regular rings, then mill off the bottoms but of course he's passed away and now Larry Carter has taken over the Pardini franchise here in the US. I'd suggest giving Larry a call to ask if he supply some rings like the ones Don used to make.
