Walther cheek piece / butt-plate weight

Post by Jenni »

Hello ,

I would like to know what attachments would allow me to add 100g on my Walthers cheek piece and/or butt-plate.
I've seen some shooters add a rod to the cheek piece with weights on it; I couldn't figure out what accessories they added to achieve that.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
Jenni

Self adhesive steel wheel/tire balance weights come in strips of 60 grams made up of 5 and 10 gram sections. A few bucks on Ebay.

Thank you for the reply.

Is it permitted to add self adhesive weights on the rifle?
I've read somewhere in the forum that the new ISSF rule does not allow using tape on the rifle. I'm not sure if it includes self adhesive weights as well.

Been discussed before. Self adhesive weights don't use tape so are allowed. They must be fitted within the shape of the stock eg between stock and cheek piece or between butt pad and stock. Not stuck to side of stock.

AFAIK this is legal if not elegant

You can also get 10mm ID split collars and put them on the rods that support the cheek piece.

Self adhesive weight works well.

You can also melt lead to make more graceful plate like these :
