izmash magazines for Sobol available anywhere?

Post by Houngan »

I've always wanted a straight throw rifle, but it looks like the mags might be gone. Any clues as to where I could find a couple of 22lr mags for the Sobol?

Give Marc Sheppard at Altius a call. He is showing these available on his website: http://www.altiusguns.com/product.php?product_id=21137

Great, thanks for the help. It's hard stepping into a different discipline, all of my usual sources have no idea what a Sobol is.

And do the various incarnations, the 7-2, 7-3, etc. all use the same magazines as the Sobol? I've found some suppliers with the 7-3 in stock.

Did you find suppliers with the 7-3 mags? or 7-3 rifles in stock? I'd like to ad a 7-4 or even a 7-3 to my collection.

I am also a fellow Sobol owner. Great rifle, yes?

Sorry, I bought the last 3 mags Marc had. But he's a stand-up guy. If you enter your email to contact you if he gets more in, I'm sure he will.

I also have a bore guide, made by a nice guy in Australia out of Derlin. Another person told me about one at this site. Don't know if our bore guide would be the same as the CM-2, but you could ask

FYI, my rifle really likes SK Std+

I've tested it against:

CCI Standard Velocity
Eley Club
Lapua Center-X
Remington Eley Match EPS
Eley Tenex

The SK Std+ gave the best performance at the lowest price point of the bunch.

Happy shooting!
