A23 & A27 Targets?

Post by Guest »

What are the differences between A23 and A27 targets? They both have a 3 7/8" black diameter, but have been unable to find any details on the diameters of the other rings. Anyone know?
Thanks.

X ring............... .39 inch
10 ring............... .89 inch
9 ring............... 1.89 inches
8 ring............... 2.89 inches

5 ring ............... 5.89 inches

4.7 50 Yard Target. A-27 - 5 bullseyes.
50 meter target reduced for firing at 50 yards.
For use in Conventional Prone competition only.
3.89 inches diameter black.

X ring............... .359 inch
10 ring............... .719 inch
9 ring............... 1.439 inches
8 ring............... 2.159 inches
7 ring ............... 2.879 inches
6 ring ............... 3.599 inches
5 ring ............... 4.319 inches
4 ring ............... 5.038 inches

There doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference, but look at the scores from Camp Perry and you will see lower scores on the A27 'Metric' target.
There is a similar difference at 100 yards between the A25-A33.
