Greetings,

Looking for a 4.0 mm rear sight blade.

I have a 3.2 mm for trading stock. I also have spare 280 weights for trade, as well.

Cheers,

Dave

Greetings,

Started to make a 280 barrel several years ago. It still sits in the cabinet.

Cheers,

Dave

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but you may know that Larry's has 4.0mm blades in stock - I know since I just picked one up to replace my "U" blade that came on my pistol (sorry it's a narrower blade or I'd offer it up).

Do you happen to know the procedure for replacing the blade? It appears there is a pin (this is in an older 208 International), that is flush to the side of the sight body, and right up against the edge of the adjustment screw. It would seem like that pin needs to be removed to allow the screw and blade to come out, but there is no access to tap the pin from the other side, and very little room around the pin to gain purchase with pliers or pry it out (which I wouldn't try as it would likely scratch the side of the site body). I did a Google search and came up with one thread here that specified the pin needed to be removed, but offered no further instruction as to how. Do you know, or can you point me to a URL that has more than just an exploded diagram (which is of no use instructionally as to exactly how to remove things)?

Greetings Jaxontarget,

Thanks for the offer of help.

However, you are confusing the 208 with the 280.

I have the 280 and the rear sight blade slip in and out easily with the factory tool.

Cheers,

Dave

Absolutely correct! Dyslexic thread reading on my part. Mine is a 208 International. Thanks for the correction. Should anyone know the answer to my query, feel free to PM me.
