I purchased this rifle about a year ago from Slingshot455. After he made it the rifle was sold to a friend, who allegedly had it as a safe queen. When I bought it, it too was a safe queen. It's never been to the range. He believes it was never fired by the original owner, I too have never fired it. There's no indication to me that it's been fired, if it has been... maybe a couple of times.

You'll receive everything in the photo (front & rear sight) as well as the custom bloop tube and sliding butt plate.

The rifle weighs about 12.8 lbs.

It's a standard Kimber 82G, otherwise.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Full gallery is available here -

Asking $900 shipped OBO. Your FFL must be willing to receive from a non-FFL, otherwise FFL-to-FFL transfer costs will be your responsibility.

Looks beautiful.

Unfortunately my rifle knowledge is currently so limited that I have no way to judge the value of the gun or whether it would suit my needs. :(

I'm currently shooting Shooting Federation of Canada targets at 20 yards with club Anschutz 64 (I think) rifles.

Thanks for your message.

From my research of the current market the Kimber 82 Government rifles fetch anywhere from $600 to $1200 based on condition and what's included. Because these rifles are essentially "one offs" (he made less than 10) I think they're pretty unique. I purchased the rifle about a year ago for $1200 shipped and that's how much he sold them out for originally.

As I haven't shot the rifle (and don't intend to) I can't comment specifically on if it's right for you, or anyone for that matter. But based on how it feels when I shoulder it, I'd consider it an excellent starter rifle for a 3P shooter. It's certainly not feather light but for a junior shooter, I think it'd be a worthy consideration.

The Kimber 82Gs, themselves, are in no way to be considered the same category as a top tier target rifle like a Walther, Anschutz or FWB. These are not match grade barrels with featherlight triggers.

But as I have an older 82G from CMP, the rifle has been a reliable workhorse, that shoots plenty fine for my off-hand ability and my son and I have enjoyed it using it.

Hope that helps!

Sure does, thanks.
The sight rails/dovetails are Anschutz compatible, correct?

What sights are installed on it?

Sorry if this is all answered in the rimfirecentral thread. That site is blocked here. I'll look tonight.

That is correct, all rails are Anschutz compatible. Regarding the sights, to my knowledge they were manufactured by Kimber.

But they do use Anschutz discs (in the front)
