I decided to sell my 82, about 12 years ago I bought 15 of these when I was at the CMP store in Alabama. I hand selected all of them, but the one I decided to keep was the finest. Ive never fired it or even loaded it and doubt I will, so time to move it along. This one has the nicest wood I think you could ever find on a Kimber 82. It has burl and marbled figure. These all had the box cutter line on them, but this one you would have to search to find it as you tilt it in the light, and then most of you wouldn't find it.
Comes complete with original butt stock spacers. If you've ever wanted an 82G, this is your chance to get the best one.
text for pics if interested. 412609495four
$950

I always wondered what kind of fucking moron they had wielding the box cutter.

I too hand selected my 82 g at CMP Alabama when I lived there. Mine shoots great and like yours, has a very faint scratch. I would hard pressed to ever get rid of it. I would consider trading for a pair of Baikal IZH 46-M or a PCP worth $1000-$1300 with a little mo eye on my part.

The one I bought about the same time (for $250!!!!) from CMP & I'll swear never had been fired.
I carved up the stock & made a (max weight) silhouette rifle out of it for my oldest daughter. Shoots like a laser.
The one on the RT

I kick myself for only buying one. I had also picked up 3 of the Remington 813's for $125 ea. This was after the JROTC programs turned all the guns in and CMP sold them off.
