Post by USA Shooting »

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. – It is with great sorrow that USA Shooting announces the passing of 20-year-old Wayne Romanski, Jr., on Friday, Oct. 29, as a result of a single-vehicle rollover in his hometown of Lake Elsinore, Calif.

Romanski was the bronze medalist at the 2003 National Championships in junior men’s trap and a member of the 2003 Junior World Clay Target Team. Wayne had immense talent and the loss of his leadership and abilities is a blow to the future of international shotgun. He was well liked and well respected in the world of competitive trap shooting and will be missed by all that knew him.

Services will be held this evening at the New Song Church located on Machado St., and Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Evan-Brown Mortuary, in Lake Elsinore, Calif. For more information on where to send condolences, please contact U.S. Shotgun Team Coach Lloyd Woodhouse at 719-866-4682.
