He will have been disappointed with his final. Third place going in, but finished seventh.

He's still young and got plenty of time, and certainly the ability, to medal in the future.

Hi is often here in germany, shooting together with Maik Eckhardt, the german champion and with Gaby Buehlmann, the swiss rifle-shooter and former world-recordholder (400 of 400). All three are coached by Heinz Reinkemeier (author of "Ways of the Rifle" and a brand-new book about air rifle shooting, which has not been translated into english yet).

Abi shoots also air rifle in the german "Bundesliga", the first division, for "Hubertus Elsern" with a real incredible team: Gaby Buehlmann and Valentina Turisini (silver with 22 sport rifle in Athens). But he won't participate in every match, because there are six matches during the winter season.

If you wanna check, what top-scorers also participate in the Bundesliga 2004/2005, take a look at this list of foreign shooters (PDF-document)

The reason why he was so disappointed in the final, as it was told by Heinz: He simply forgot to check his pellets before the final and hadn't enough, so Gaby hurried back to get some. In the meantime he checked his shooting place and found out that the floor was rough and not even and that he had to move a bit aside - and then he had problems finding his "zero". So, a lot to learn and little to complain about afterwards. He's a really nice guy, met him some weeks ago (before athens) in Heinz Reinkemeiers house.
