Athens shooting range

Post by Alex L »

I have visited the Athens Olympics site, and found the picture of the shooting ranges. Wow! If they are going to hold a match theree in a couple of weeks, they need to get a move on!!! It looks, by the photo taken in Feb. like a new construction site, cut out from the hills.
I hope there is no torrential rain in the area, or it will all wash away!
You can view it on
www.athens2004.com, and go to the Marcopoulo shooting Range.

I hope this is an old photo, and that they have done a lot of work since it was taken.
Has anyone had an update on it?

Does anyone know how I can set up the PC to view the shooting during the event?

i believe work is almost done... in some photo shots in our local shooting magazine sponsoredby greek shooting federation seems they already have some equipment already inside (monitors). Also in an interview with ISSF they also said it was about 80%ready if not more. if i have time i will try and go to marcopoulo and shoot some fotos myself.
Best regards

Athens Shooting Range

Thanks for the update about the range.
Now I need to work out how to get the Cairo shooting event in "Real time" here on my PC. Also I believe the World Cup at Athens will be available, too.
Any suggestions as to how I can receive it on my PC would be very welcome.
3 ladies and one man in the Oz team are my Club members. I would love to be able to watch it, as it happens.
