World Master Games - lodgings

Post by fpfiglia »

Gang:

Can anyone make any recommendations for lodgings in or near the Strathcona shooting range in Edmonton?

I would be interested in anything in the $90 to $125 (USD) per day range. I'll will have a car available while there so distance to the range isnt critical.

Thanks and hope to see a bunch of you there!

Below is a clip from the Canadian Nationals, it is the same range. The prices might be different but should still be in your range. There are other hotels that are close also. Are you going to book now for 2005? A map of the area would come in handy.

I think it's not imporant to stay close to the shooting range. This is an amazing sport fest and I would like to see what's happening everywhere else:-)

WM accommodation in Edmonton

Post by Dave »

Claudio is right about the Econo Lodge. Another place to consider is the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel, where I stayed for an airgun match last January (in the middle of a blizzard!) It is a centrally located, up-scale tower with underground parking, close to downtown sites, shopping, and lots of good restaurant choices. Normally I couldn't afford to stay there, but they had a discount rate for that match and they're offering one again for the Nationals. Maybe they'll do the same for the WM in 2005?
