This is very interesting. We can basically shoot the USAS, ASSA and CMP or NRA smallbore back to back.

ETA:
USAS (Ft Benning):

June 26-July2

ASSA (Cardinal):

July 6-13

CMP (Camp Perry):

July 17-22 (junior camp same dates)

NRA (Bristol):

July 19-30 (Junior camp July 14-18)

Any junior camp planned for the ASSA?

Bill,
With a 200 point covered firing line it would be possible to run a Junior camp simultaneously with the prone championship. Not that ASSA isn't expecting 400 competitors for the 6400 but recent history tells us otherwise.

Our director of operations came up with idea a day before we announced our dates. So right now it is not out of the question but no details have been worked out regarding who and what. We have a when and where, and it would work out nicely for prone shooters who want to bring their juniors for a 3-P camp and then have them put what they've learned to use and shoot the 3-P championship.

It could become a reality with more thought and discussion. We have time and would certainly welcome ideas and suggestions for making it a reality.

Would you help us run it? Do you know others who would?

I recently received this from gn303 in Belgium (thanks, Guy). Maybe you can glean some helpful hints from it.

Hello Rover,

Thank you so much for posting that link. Anyone using the Chrome Browser can translate the page into English and it works very well.
Imagine a 2 day air gun championship that is limited to 750 competitors!

When their choices for marksmanship competition are limited the European's should be able to field a large 2 day air gun event. The sad commentary to this is if American ever gets to the point where we can draw thousands of shooters to a National Air Gun event, it will mean the gun grabbers finally won. And once the IOC removes firearms from the games, air rifle and pistol popularity will go up and 3-P air will replace 3-P rifle.
