COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (October 29, 2017)
Keith Sanderson picked up the second gold medal for the United States today at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final in New Delhi, India when he won the Men’s Rapid Fire Pistol event.

In the seventh World Cup Final appearance of his career, this is Sanderson’s first gold medal at the invitation-only match of the top ISSF-event finishers every season. He also won bronze at the World Cup Final in 2011.

Sanderson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) entered the Final with the second-highest Qualification score of 585. Once in the Final, Sanderson had two perfect, five-shot series to propel him into the lead which he continued to grow throughout the match. Sanderson finished his Final with 33 hits, one off the World Record. Clement Bessaguet of France won the silver medal and Jong Ho Song of South Korea won bronze.

“Last year it was pretty bad to finish dead last in Bologna, but here, I prepared a lot for this competition, and I think that the outcome speaks for itself,” Sanderson told the ISSF. “It feels great to finally win the title.”
