Carroll and Haldeman Win Bronze at World Cup Final

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (October 24, 2017)
Ashley Carroll and Derek Haldeman pocketed another bronze medal along with the coveted crystal globe trophy today in the Trap Mixed Team event at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final in New Delhi, India.

The duo hit 31 of 40 targets to finish in third place. Carroll (Solvang, California) and Haldeman (U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit/Sunbury, Ohio) also won bronze last month at the ISSF World Championship in Moscow, Russia.

Winning gold today was the Spanish team of Beatriz Martinez and Antonio Bailon. Silver went to Italy’s Jessica Rossi and Giovanni Pellielo.

The other American team of Kayle Browning (Wooster, Arkansas) and Jake Wallace (Castaic, California) finished in eighth place.

Competition continues tomorrow for the USA Shooting Team at the World Cup Final with the start of the Women’s Skeet competition. World Champion Dania Vizzi (Odessa, Florida), World Cup Acapulco silver medalist and fourth-place finisher at World Cup New Delhi Caitlin Connor (Winnfield, Louisiana) and six-time Olympic medalist and defending World Cup Final Champion Kim Rhode (El Monte, California), who won two golds and a silver in World Cup competition this year alone will compete in this event. Rhode also finished in fourth place at the World Championship. The trio of Rhode, Vizzi and Connor also won a team gold medal at the World Championship where they set a Team World Record.

All Finals will be streamed live on the ISSF website, on the Federation’s Livestream channel, on its page and on the Olympic Channel.
