New Member from Luxembourg/EU

Post by Fadi »

Hi Everyone
Just a quick message to say hi.

I’ve been lurking around for a while and finally set up an account the other day :)

Started target shooting last year, and currently training for the national 10m Air Pistol championship this coming season.
This will be my first participation and I am so excited that the club has selected me for their 2nd division team. Crossing fingers!

On the side, I also shoot (just for fun) a 1976 Model 41 Smith & Wesson that I was lucky to find in fantastic conditions at one of our dealers in here... This was thanks to the zillions of posts on this forum that recommended it for a .22

Cheers
Fadi

Welcome Fadi!

You must be good with pistol to have been selected for the 2nd division team!

Which pistol do you use? Have you been shooting pistol long?

I'm a relative newcomer to pistol shooting - under 10 months now - but I'm really enjoying it, even though my scores aren't very good (yet).

Cheers!

Hi Mtl_Biker
I have a Steyr EVO10, and training twice a week since October last year.
I am now shooting around 540.. but will have to see how things go once in the real championship setup and pressure ;)

Cheers

Hello Fadi,
You are most welcome. I'm not an old member here either. I even don't know how to edit my profile and insert my location. I'm based in France.
Do you know armurerie-frauenberg.lu in the Luxembourg ? Are they serious and good ? They propose me to solve my SIG Hämmerli P240 bulged barrel by replacing it with a spare made in Austria.
The final gunsmithing will be made by them...The price is in accordance with the work to be done...;)
Greetings from Brittany.

Salut Jacques
Thank you for your welcome note.
Yes I know Frauenberg, but never had any personal experience dealing with them.

I usually favour Freylinger (armurerie.lu); you can try with them.
They are not far from the French border either.

Good Luck
Fadi

PS: I just love Brittany ;-) one of my favourite destinations in FR, you must be so lucky!

Hello Fadi,
I'm located just 5 minutes from nice little beaches...lovely and sunny those days but a bit cold at the moment :)
I don't know if you've read here in the forum my post "P240 bulged barrel". It's what I did a few weeks ago. Since then I'm struggling to find a solution to repair my pistol.
Another French guy is in the same situation and had a contact with Frauenberg who proposed him to fix his gun by using a barrel made in Austria. In the meantime I found, thanks David, IGB Austria and started a deal with them. Obviously, suppressing one intermediate drastically drops the price....
Therefore, I'm preparing the necessary documents to send my P240 to Austria and have the barrel replaced. It might take a couple of months to fix it. My French colleague will follow. And I hope it will be possible, for anyone with the same difficulties to get a new barrel (the SIG Hämmerli P240 has a barrel very bad reputation despite the fact that it's admitted to be a very accurate semi-auto pistol in .38WC).
Still don't know how to update my profile and display my location...????? I've no access to edit these info ???
Greetings.
Jacques

Top right hand corner - User Control Panel
Then
Half way down the left hand side - Profile

If that doesn't work then PM me the details you want to add and I'll do it for you.
